bus routes

On May 16th, the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) released their proposed network changes to the region's bus system (https://www.mbta.com/projects/bus-network-redesign/update/bus-network-re...), resulting from the Bus Network Redesign project. This proposal includes potential impacts to bus routes in Salem. To view these proposed changes, you can review the summary created by the MBTA for Salem's immediate area, attached here, or explore the interactive map showing the whole system (https://platform.remix.com/map/8a739faa?latlng=42.31931,-71.21695,12). If you'd like to know how the proposal might affect your specific commute or bus trips, you can use the MBTA's Compare Trips tool.

The MBTA is currently gathering public feedback on the proposed network changes, and will host a virtual public meeting to discuss changes systemwide at 6pm on Thursday, May 19th (https://www.mbta.com/events/2022-05-19/public-meeting-bus-network-redesi...). There will also be a virtual public meeting focused on the North Shore at 6pm on Wednesday, June 8th (https://www.mbta.com/events/2022-06-08/public-meeting-bus-network-redesi...).

Furthermore, you can submit feedback to the MBTA by taking their online survey regarding the proposal (https://reginavilla.az1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_821isTJ0Sy2PBfE), by leaving a voicemail at 617-222-3011, or by mailing comments to
