Lafayette Street, from the intersection with West Street and Loring Avenue until the Marblehead town line, will be redesigned as a complete street, incorporating traffic calming elements and parking protected bike lanes. These changes are intended to reduce traffic speeds, improve safety, and allow for all modes to travel comfortably through the Lafayette Street corridor.

There will be a joint meeting of the Traffic and Parking Commission and the Bicycling and Shared Path Advisory Group on September 28th, 2022 to go over these changes. The draft version of the 100% design plans will be discussed.
