2022 Salem Veterans Day Ceremony
“The 11th hour, of the 11th day, of the 11th month”
The Mayor and the Salem Veterans Council invite you to attend a veteran square dedication ceremony on Veterans Day in honor of U.S. Army First Lieutenant and Salem Patrolman Philip A. McCarthy, 774th Tank Bn/310 Inf Regt/ 78th Inf Div., killed in action on 11 December 1944 in the Hurtgen Forest, Germany.
Ceremony will be held outside the Salem Police Headquarters on 11 November at 11:00am. Guest speaker will be retired Salem Police Chief Robert St. Pierre. All veterans, family and friends are cordially invited to attend the event and a collation immediately after the ceremony at VFW Post 1524, 95 Derby Street.
