COVID-19 Booster Vaccines for 5-11 Year Olds

The City of Salem and the Salem Board of Health encourages parents and guardians of Salem children between the ages of 5 and 11 years old to get the COVID-19 pediatric vaccine booster that has now been approved by the FDA and the CDC. With rising SARS-CoV-2 infection rates in our community, including and especially among students and those who are not boosted, it is critically important that everyone who is eligible to be vaccinated and boosted do so. Over the last two weeks 164 Salem Public School students have tested positive for the virus.

The COVID-19 vaccines and boosters are safe and effective, and can help prevent your child from suffering severe illness or hospitalization due to a COVID infection.
