Mansell Field Remediation Presentation

The City will present plans for the cleanup of contaminated soils at Mansell Field at Lower Gallows Hill Park to the Salem Park & Recreation Commission. Elevated arsenic levels were identified within Mansell Field during soil testing for the recent renovation of the Gallows Hill Park baseball field and skate park. As a result, MassDEP has required Mansell Field to be closed until the arsenic is remediated.

The City, along with its Licensed Site Professional and Landscape Architect, will present the cleanup plan and address questions and comments from the public. All are welcome to attend and provide feedback.
