Mayor Kim Driscoll to Join NAMI's CEOs Against Stigma

Statewide campaign to eliminate workplace stigma related to mental illness

Mayor Kim Driscoll will join the statewide campaign to eliminate workplace stigma related to mental illness, making another stride to strengthen the workplace culture inside City Hall. On June 28 at 11:00 a.m., Mayor Driscoll will sign a pledge to become a “CEO Against Stigma,” adding her name to the growing list of chief executives that have joined the state chapter of National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI)’s initiative against stigma.

The CEO Pledge Against Stigma is a state-wide campaign promoted by NAMI designed to reduce the negative impact of mental illness stigma in the workplace by bringing the reality of mental illness out of the shadows. The initiative’s hope is to partner with leaders of our community to reduce and eliminate the element of stigma at work and transform the culture for individuals and families alike.
