Notice: Pursuant to Governor Baker’s March 12, 2020 Order Suspending Certain Provisions of the Open Meeting Law, G.L. c. 30A, §20 and the Governor’s March 15, 2020 Order imposing strict limitation on the number of people that may gather in one place, this meeting of the Traffic and Parking Commission will be conducted via remote participation to the greatest extent possible. Specific information and the general guidelines for remote participation by members of the public and/or parties with a right and/or requirement to attend this meeting can be found on the city’s website, at www.salem.com. Members of the public attending this meeting virtually will be allowed to make comments if they wish to do so. The Commission Chair, with the assistance of City Staff, will provide all participants in the Zoom meeting an opportunity to speak and indicate whether they would like to provide public comment. No in-person attendance of members of the public will be permitted, but every effort will be made to ensure that the public can adequately access the proceedings in real time, via technological means. II. PUBLIC COMMENTS (15 min period of no more than 3 min per person*)

III. NEW/OLD BUSINESS (each item limited to 3 min per person*)

a. Salem Shared Streets Pilot Update – The Director and consultants from Neighborways will provide an update on the City’s Shared Streets Pilot program. Staff and the Commission will discuss how the results of the pilot will impact work moving forward.

b. Neighborhood Traffic Calming Prioritization – At the request of Vice Chair Papetti, staff and the Commission will discuss how best to prioritize requests received through the Neighborhood Traffic Calming Program. Staff will present work on a potential prioritization tool.

c. Request for Traffic Ordinance Recommendation – At the request of the Ward 2 Councillor Madore, staff and the Commission will discuss suggested changes to the intersection of Essex/North/Summer Streets in response to the recent improvements made to the traffic signal.
