Engineering Plan for Gardner and Cabot Streets Sewer Main Replacement Project

City of Salem is completing a construction project on a portion of Gardner (#11-22) and Cabot (#18-23) Streets to improve the functionality and reliability of the sewer system by replacing sewer manholes and piping. Beginning the week of 4/15/2024, the City's Contractor (Pummel Enterprises, Inc) will mobilize to the site and begin replacing the sewer main. This work is expected to take approximately 2 months to complete, weather dependent. The work hours for this effort are 7 AM to 4 PM. For the duration of the project, the area will be an active construction site, and residents and visitors should drive carefully at a reduced speed. When the Contractors are working, it is important that cars are not parked in the roadway. No parking signs will be posted. The roadway may be closed to through traffic during parts of the project.
