As part of our pandemic recovery efforts, the City has created the Festival and Special Event Support Program. This is a grant program designed to assist festivals and special events in the City of Salem that have been adversely affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. The program provides financial support for organizations and entities that organize and hold festivals and special events in the City through September 22, 2023. Eligibility will be determined on a case-by-case basis and is open to non-profits, community groups, and other entities and will support cultural, creative, and historic-focused programming as well as farmer’s markets, awareness programs, and more.
Grant award amounts will be based on demonstrated need and justification provided by applicants. Applications will be reviewed and approved by the Mayor's Office and Recovery staff. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.
