Notice is hereby given that a meeting of the Salem Traffic & Parking Commission will be held on Thursday, December 16th, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. via remote participation in accordance with Chapter 20 of the Acts of 2021.

Every effort will be made to ensure that the public can adequately access the proceedings in real time, via technological means. In the event that we are unable to do so on matters not requiring a public hearing, we will post on the City of Salem’s website an audio or video recording, transcript, or other comprehensive record of proceedings as soon as possible after the meeting.

MEETING AGENDA

    1. On -Street Parking Evaluation: Leavitt Street – Staff will review revised layout plans with the Commission based on feedback received from the Commissioners and the public during the November meeting. This will include proposed amendments to the Traffic Ordinance that will restrict parking on certain sections of the street.
    2. City Garage Update – Traffic & Parking Director will provide an update to the Commission related to recently completed and ongoing improvements to the city’s two garages.
    3. Employee Parking during October – At the request of Commissioner Swartz, staff will discuss with the Commission parking issues Downtown employees face during the month of October.
    4. Commission Meetings – Commissioners to discuss whether to remain fully remote through April 2022, or to move to hybrid in January 2022.
